Local governments around the province are grappling with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on their communities. The Provincial Health Officer has issued orders curtailing public gatherings and the operation of some businesses. The Province has declared a state of provincial emergency, and the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General is expected to issue orders under the Emergency Program Act
